For an adult relative needing long-term personal and household care because of age, illness or disability where required care is unavailable or unaffordable at home.

For a child under 18 joining or accompanying a qualifying parent in Jersey, who is not living an independent life.

For the dependent child of a Jersey student, normally under 18, not living independently and adequately maintained and accommodated.

For the spouse, civil partner or dependent child of a Jersey Business Establishment or Writer, Composer or Artist permission holder.

For a spouse, partner or child under 18 of a long-term or intra-company transferee whose permit exceeds twelve months, where the family can be maintained and suitably accommodated.

For an adult engaged partner of a British, Irish, settled or qualifying pre-settled person, intending to marry or form a civil partnership within six months.

For the qualifying partner or child of a person settled or settling through the Jersey HM Forces provisions, or of an exempt serving member with the required service.

For the qualifying adult child, partner, child or highly dependent relative in the household of a BN(O) Status Holder.

For a genuine visitor coming to marry, form a civil partnership, or give formal notice in Jersey without settling on this permission.

For a parent with formal access rights to a child under 18 resident in Jersey who will play an active role in the child's upbringing.

For a parent who is not eligible as a partner and will take an active role in raising a qualifying child under 18 living in Jersey.

For an adult who will be the sole carer of a child under 12 attending a private fee-paying school in Jersey and can maintain a second home without working.

For the spouse, civil partner or unmarried partner of a Jersey student, in a subsisting relationship with adequate maintenance and accommodation.

For a qualifying pre-flight partner or dependent child joining a person recognised as a refugee in Jersey.
