Limits of the record
  • Searched Appendix V(J) (intro, V(J)1.1, V(J)4.2-4.3, V(J)12.1-12.2, V(J)17.2): no sponsor is required and no immigration status is set for the partner; V(J)4.3 (third-party funding) is a funds rule, not a sponsor rule.

What is important for proving marriage, partnership, parentage, custody, dependency or another qualifying relationship?

The applicant must be aged 18 or over on the date of application. Unless they are a British citizen, an EEA national, or a Swiss national, they must intend during the requested visitor period to give notice in Jersey or marry or form a civil partnership in Jersey, and it must not be a sham marriage or civil partnership.
