Occupation and pay checks
The offer must be from an approved sponsor and in an eligible occupation. The usual comparison uses £41,700 and the going rate, whichever is higher. Exceptions need separate conditions checked. Do not assume every care, healthcare or other sponsored role shares one rule.
Documents depend on circumstances
The official checklist includes identity, sponsorship, job details and English evidence. Police, tuberculosis, family and other documents have case-dependent triggers. Nationality alone is not a complete list of documents to obtain.
Check current English guidance
The usual level is B2, with stated exceptions and transitional rules. An overseas degree used as proof needs the required assessment evidence. Resolve this before paying for a test or service that may not fit the application.
Manage a personal relocation budget
Request separate quotes for flights, housing, translations and optional services. Record what is refundable and what depends on approval. Allow for changes in departure date and exchange rate. An NGN total is a dated personal budget, not a government charge or approval assurance.

Does a job title establish eligibility?
No. Check the occupation code, sponsor and applicable salary provisions.
Are medical and police documents identical for everyone?
No. Follow the individual triggers in the official checklist.
