What medical treatment/purpose does the route cover and which applicant role does it address: patient, donor or another medical purpose?

The route covers the patient: a foreigner receiving medical assistance or medical services in China, who submits a hospitalisation certificate or medical-service certificate for more than six months issued by a county-level-or-above or grade-2A-or-above medical institution; a residence permit of up to one year may be issued. Beijing also lists foreigners who need to receive medical assistance and services in Beijing as an applicant category.

What acceptance, appointment, referral, treatment plan or healthcare-provider documentation is important?

The national Chinese guide requires a hospitalization or medical-services certificate for at least six months from a local county-level-or-higher or grade 2A-or-higher medical institution. The quoted Beijing English guide specifies a Medical Diagnosis Certificate or Hospital Admission Notice from a local district-level-or-higher or second-class A-or-higher institution for more than six months.
