• The person to whom permission to reside is granted is prohibited from engaging in and/or seeking employment in Bermuda. • Permission is typically granted for the duration of the academic year but we require proof of enrollment for each term of the academic year. Students must maintain full-time status and be in good standing i.e. a minimum grade point average of 2.50 (on a scale of 4.00). • Applicant must possess private health insurance coverage for the entire duration of stay in Bermuda. • Applicant must possess a passport which remains valid for at least 45 days after the date of period of residence granted. • Applicant must possess a valid multi re-entry visa (if applicable) which remains valid for at least 45 days after the date of period of residence is granted. • Applicant must adhere to all laws, policies, and regulations of Bermuda, maintain good conduct, and immediately report any changes in their continued ability to meet the conditions listed above. Termination of Permission Permission to reside may be revoked if: • any conditions (as listed above) of residency are violated, • false information was provided during the application process. Process to Renew To renew a Permission to Reside & Attend College, students must submit: • an Application for Residence, • letter from Bermuda College confirming continued good standing, financially and academically, • proof of financial means, • proof of payment of application fee, • certified copy of updated passport (as applicable), and • certified copy of updated multi re-entry visa (if applicable). B) Application to Reside on an Annual Basis Purpose A non-Bermudian may seek permission to reside on an annual basis. This permission gives a person the right to be landed in Bermuda, as a resident, on a single ticket basis, on any number of occasions during the period of its validity. Residency Conditions • The person to whom permission to reside is granted is prohibited from engaging in and/or seeking employment in Bermuda while the permission lasts. • Applicant seeking to reside in Bermuda must be able to prove an annual income of at least $75,000. • Applicant must possess private health insurance coverage for the entire duration of stay in Bermuda. • Applicant must possess a passport which remains valid for at least 45 days after the date of period of residence granted. • Applicant must possess a Multi Re-Entry visa (if applicable) which remains valid for at least 45 days after the date of period of residence granted. • Permission is typically granted for a year. Applicant must adhere to all laws, policies, and regulations of Bermuda, maintain good conduct, and immediately report any financial changes limiting the ability to sufficiently sustain themselves while residing in Bermuda. • Applicant must be resident in Bermuda for a minimum of 90 days per calendar year. • Applicant must be at least 18 years of age.
