The most common types include merit-based scholarships (academic achievement), need-based grants (financial circumstances), government-funded programmes (DAAD in Germany, Chevening in UK, Fulbright in USA), university-specific tuition waivers, and country-specific bilateral agreements. Values range from 10-25% tuition discounts to full tuition plus living stipend.

Use a fixed EUR amount if your scholarship has a specific monetary value (e.g., EUR 5,000 per year). Use a percentage if the scholarship covers a proportion of tuition (e.g., 50% tuition waiver). For scholarships that cover both tuition and living costs, enter the total annual value as a fixed amount.

Savings vary enormously. A 25% tuition scholarship for a 2-year UK master's saves approximately EUR 10,500 total. A full DAAD scholarship in Germany covers living costs worth EUR 22,000+ over two years. Full-ride scholarships in the USA can save EUR 80,000-120,000 over a 4-year bachelor's degree.
