Applicants apply to the Director-General of Immigration in the prescribed manner and form, with a covering letter, Aliens Registration Card, VAT/ZRA receipts or valid ZRA Tax Clearance Certificate, current bank statement, audit report from a ZICA-registered firm, title or lease (where applicable), passport copies, one photograph, the prescribed fee, and an Immigration inspection report after submission. The permit ceases to be valid if the holder fails to enter Zambia within six months of issue (or a later endorsed date), is absent for more than six months without notifying the Director-General of Immigration in writing, or is absent for any period in excess of twelve months.

Immigration for a residence permit in the prescribed manner and
form.

Holders of Investor’s Permit
Covering letter to Director General of Immigration;
Aliens Registration Card;
VAT/ZRA receipts/Valid ZRA Tax Clearance Certificate;
Current bank statement;
Audit Report from a recognized firm registered with the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA);
Title of ownership or lease agreement (where applicable);
Certified photocopies of current passport (bio data & last endorsement stamp for Zambia);
One recent passport size photographs;
Prescribed fee; and
Inspection Report by Immigration (Only after submission of application).

A residence permit shall cease to be valid if the holder—
(a) fails to enter Zambia within six months of the date of issue of the permit or such later date as the DirectorGeneral of Immigration may endorse on the residence permit;
(b) is absent from Zambia for a period in excess of six months without notifying the Director-General of Immigration, in writing, that that person proposes to return to Zambia; or
(c) is absent from Zambia for any period in excess of twelve months.
