For the relevant traveller scope, is a visa, electronic authorisation, visa on arrival or no advance visa normally required?
The e-Visa is an entry permission issued remotely online; it is available only to passport holders of specified eligible countries (45 per the MFA visa page), and the MFA entry-regime table marks those nationalities as "visa, including e-Visa" (e.g. Bahamas, Barbados), while other nationalities need a regular visa (e.g. Bangladesh) or are visa-free (e.g. Bahrain).
