The listed evidence is a copy of the parent's PRC, school letters demonstrating residence in the Islands, a letter of intent to make the Islands home, and the original birth certificate with the passport bio-data page.

Limits of the record
  • Searched section 13(2)(c) of the PRC page: unlike other PRC routes it states no self-support, income or accommodation criterion.

How does the application work at a high level, what rights does the family member receive, how long does the status last, and how can it become independent or longer-term where officially stated?

Application under Immigration Regulations 13(2)(c) with a $5,000 main-applicant fee ($4,000 refundable if not approved) and a $150 non-refundable submission fee. If granted, the holder may reside without time limit and may work, and may qualify to apply for naturalisation 12 months after obtaining the PRC.
