The sponsor is a foreigner holding a Turquoise Card. The Turquoise Card is issued, in line with international labour force policy, to foreigners whose applications are deemed appropriate based on education level, professional experience, contribution to science and technology, the impact of their activities or investments in Türkiye on the national economy and employment, the recommendations of the International Labour Force Advisory Board and the Ministry's procedures and principles; the holder benefits from the rights of the permanent work permit. Foreigners under temporary protection are not granted a Turquoise Card.

In line with the international labour force policy, a Turquoise Card is issued to foreigners whose applications are deemed appropriate based on their level of education, professional experience, contribution to science and technology, the impact of their activities or investments in Türkiye on the national economy and employment, and the recommendations of the International Labour Force Advisory Board and the procedures and principles determined by the Ministry. The foreigner holding a Turquoise Card shall benefit from the rights provided by the permanent work permit regulated in the Law.

Turquoise Card is not granted to foreigners who are under temporary protection in Türkiye.

The spouse and dependent children of the foreigner holding a Turquoise Card, according to the provisions of the legislation, shall be issued Card of Turquoise Card Dependent as a document showing that they are relatives of the Turquoise Card holder and replacing the residence permit during the validity period of the original Turquoise Card of the foreigner.

In accordance with the relevant legislation, the spouse and dependent children of the Turquoise Card holder foreigner are given a document that proves that they are relatives of the Turquoise Card holder and serves as a residence permit. In addition, the Turquoise Card holder benefits from the rights provided by the indefinite work permit.
