The page identifies the education level - primary or secondary education - rather than a named institution type. A separate rule states that a family residence permit itself entitles the holder to education in primary and secondary educational institutions until the age of 18 without obtaining a student residence permit, which is why this permit is for those who do not hold a family residence permit.

How long does the status last, how is it renewed, and what officially documented post-study work or residence possibilities exist?

If the period of study is less than a year, the student permit cannot exceed it. A student residence permit is not issued, is cancelled or is refused renewal where its requirements are not met or no longer apply, where studies are possibly not to be continued, where it is used for another purpose, or where there is a current removal decision or entry ban. Longer term, a long-term residence permit is issued by the governorates, upon approval of the Ministry, to foreigners with at least eight years of continuous residence on a permit, and only half of student permit durations count towards those eight years.
