What exactly is this: asylum, temporary protection, humanitarian admission, resettlement or another protection mechanism?

This is a residence permit for victims of human trafficking, regulated by Articles 48 to 49 of the Law on Foreigners and International Protection No. 6458 and by Articles 45 and 46 of its Implementing Regulation. It is a residence permit issued by governorates, not an asylum or international protection status, and the conditions attached to other residence permit types are not sought when it is issued.

The residence permit may be renewed for six-month periods, with a total duration not exceeding three years. It is cancelled where the foreigner has re-connected with the perpetrators of the crime of their own volition, where the compelling conditions no longer apply, or where it is revealed that the foreigner is not a victim; if the re-connection happened against the person's will because of coercion, intimidation, violence or threat, the permit is not cancelled.
