What exact status does accumulated residence lead to?
Under Regulation 7(ii) of the Tokelau Immigration Regulations 1991 (SR 1991/117), a residence permit allows the holder to reside in Tokelau for a period not exceeding 3 months. This is a short-duration residence status, not the visitors permit (10 days), work permit, or special permit defined in the same regulation.
