Which family relationships qualify?
The LTR dependent route covers the legitimate spouse, the parents, and children aged under 20 years old or legal dependents of the primary LTR Visa holder. BOI Announcement No. Por. 3/2568 names those relationships in both its definition of the alien persons covered and in the qualification for dependants. The BOI adds that an unmarried partner does not qualify, because the spouse of an LTR Visa applicant must be legally married, and that a stepchild can apply where he is a legally dependent child supported by a court order confirming guardianship, provided he is under 20.
