Accompanying family dependants must be the applicant's spouse or relatives within the third degree, not more than 2 people; up to 2 accompanying medical personnel from the country of residence are also allowed if necessary. A relation certificate or medical staff certificate must be provided for them.

A visitor may apply to the NIA for an extension of stay within 15 days before the stay expires; each extension may not exceed the stay permitted by the original visitor visa and total stay may not exceed six months. At NIA discretion, a visitor hospitalised due to illness or pregnancy whose departure by plane or ship may endanger their well-being may be granted an extension of up to two months.
