A Mainland China person who is the spouse of a person of the Taiwan Area and has held permitted long-term residence in Taiwan for two continuous years.
大陸地區人民為臺灣地區人民之配偶，經許可在臺灣地區長期居留連續滿二年，
The sponsor is the spouse who is a person of the Taiwan Area.
Where the sponsor has died: proof of death; where the marriage ended by the sponsor's death, proof of non-remarriage, or after divorce proof of exercising parental rights over a minor biological child with Taiwan household registration; the NIA may also request a notarised marriage certificate; a notarised birth certificate showing place of birth and parents' names is required.
