What organisation, institution, religious body, charity, teacher or host must support the activity?

The employer must be one of: schools or public social/educational/cultural organisations; tourist hotels; tourism and leisure enterprises; performing arts/show business enterprises; cultural and educational foundations; performing arts, academic/cultural or arts groups; publishing enterprises; motion picture enterprises; wireless, cable or satellite broadcasting and television enterprises; arts and cultural service enterprises; government agencies or administrative corporations; foreign consulates, foreign institutions or international organisations in Taiwan.

What proves the placement, role, affiliation, experience or cultural/religious/voluntary activity?

Documents supporting the artistic specialty, or recommendations or certificates from official organs of the country of origin; experience can be shown with CDs, VCDs, posters, albums or portfolios, media reports, or recordings of public performances. Work as an extra is not credited as professional performance experience.

Can the person receive salary, pocket money, accommodation, meals or reimbursement? Can they undertake other work?

Working for a different or additional employer requires that new employer to apply for a permit. The official source does not state the salary level or whether accommodation or meals are provided.

    (Ⅰ)If an employed foreign worker needs to transfer to a new employer or work for multiple employers within the employment permit duration, the new employer(s) must apply for the relevant permit. In case of transfer to a new employer, the application must include documents certifying the termination of the previous employment.

How long can they stay, can they change host/activity, can family accompany, and can the status be extended?

Permits for religious, artistic and performing-arts work (Subparagraph 6 of Article 46) are valid for up to three years with employer-requested extensions. Working for a different or additional employer requires that new employer to apply for a permit. The official source does not state whether family may accompany.
