What exact status does accumulated residence lead to?
Long-term resident status in Sweden (EU long-term resident), a legal status giving rights similar to EU citizens and more opportunities to move to another EU country. It is issued together with a residence permit valid for five years; the holder cannot later obtain a permanent residence permit, keeps an existing permanent permit, and needs no work permit.
