Renewal applications go to the visa branch of the Department of Immigration & Emigration (4th floor). Professional Category renewal documents include a request letter, progress report, medical report, police clearance and an updated bank statement; professionals must remit a minimum of US$2,000 per month for themselves and US$1,000 per month for each dependent, including spouse, to a Special Bank Account in Sri Lanka. The residence visa fee is US$200 per person for a one-year period. Holders must notify material changes within 2 months; termination requires 2 months' written notice and 14 working days' notice before departure.
