- Job offer or appointment
A Spanish company must require the professional for a highly qualified employment or professional relationship.
- Minimum age
Law 14/2013 requires an adult applicant for a residence authorisation under its international-mobility section.
- Qualifications or professional authorisation
The applicant needs a qualification comparable at least to Spanish higher-education level 1 / MECU 5A, or at least three years of equivalent relevant professional experience.
- Health-insurance requirement
The applicant must have public insurance or private health insurance with an insurer authorised to operate in Spain.
- Passport or travel-document requirement
A valid passport or travel document recognised by Spain is required.
- Work rights
The authorisation permits the approved highly qualified activity throughout Spain.
- Long-term residence or conversion path
Lawful residence may count toward long-term residence where the statutory continuity and status conditions are met.
