- Employment, placement or host agreement
The foreign business must have operated genuinely for at least one year; the remote relationship must be shown and must have existed for at least three months before application.
- Financial resources
The applicant must have sufficient resources for the applicant and accompanying family during residence.
- Minimum age
Law 14/2013 requires an adult applicant for a residence authorisation under its international-mobility section.

An employee may work only for undertakings outside Spain; a self-employed professional may perform up to 20% of total activity for Spanish clients.
- Long-term residence or conversion path
Lawful residence may count toward long-term residence where the statutory continuity and status conditions are met.
