Long-Stay Visa D/AS — foreign-company branch, representative office or subsidiary manager

c^1) celor care sunt numiţi la conducerea unei filiale, reprezentanţe sau sucursale de pe teritoriul României a unei companii care are sediul în străinătate, dacă fac dovada că îndeplinesc cumulativ următoarele condiţii:

those who are appointed to the management of a subsidiary, representative office or branch on the territory of Romania of a company that has its headquarters abroad, if they prove that they meet all the following conditions: (i) at the date of the request there are no associates, shareholders or administrators of a Romanian legal person; (ii) there is no other foreign national with a right of residence for that purpose in that subsidiary, representative office or branch; (iii) have means of subsistence at the level of the guaranteed minimum gross national salary for the entire period entered on the visa.

The long-stay visa is granted to third-state nationals, upon request, for periods of 90 days, with one or multiple entries. The right of residence granted through the D-type visa can be extended by applying for such an extension of the right of residence on the national territory. The extension of the right of residence is materialised through a residence permit issued by the Inspectorate General for Immigration from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Romania. The applications for the extension of the temporary right of residence must be personally submitted by applicants, at least 30 days before the expiry of the right of stay granted through the visa, at the territorial bureaus of the Inspectorate General for Immigration from the area of residence.
