What entry, registration or residence-document formalities remain?
EU citizens enter at any open border crossing on a valid national identity card or passport, without an entry stamp. Within 3 months of entry they must apply to the competent territorial office of the immigration authority for a registration certificate, with a valid national identity document or passport and the employment contract or an employer certificate, or documents attesting independent activities. The IGI page lists for employment: application form; ID card/passport (original and copy); labour contract and employer certificate; and a stamped, signed print-screen of the general registry of employees; other activities (posted work, commercial, economic, professional, volunteering, humanitarian, religious) have their own document lists. The registration certificate is valid for 5 years from issue (or, at the citizen's request, a shorter period of not less than one year).
