The Executive Residency targets senior executives who already hold Qatari residency (current residents, QID holders) and require a streamlined employer-led pathway to formalise their status, employment authorisation and access to programme benefits.

What achievements, recognition, awards, publications, reputation or other evidence establishes the required level?

Applicants need at least five years of experience in a senior executive management position. The programme also sets a monthly salary threshold of QAR 50,000 for Chairman, COO, CTO, CFO and CEO positions, and QAR 80,000 for other Executive Director titles.

Yes, employer nomination is required: the executive expresses interest to the employer and employees nominate executives; the stream focuses on employer nomination. A valid local employment contract (direct contract) is required with a company in one of these categories: public shareholding companies listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange; banks and financial institutions licensed by the Qatar Central Bank or the Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority (QFCRA); insurance companies licensed by the Qatar Central Bank or QFCRA; consulting firms (scientific offices or visiting professional firms) in management, finance, legal and accounting services for governmental and semi-governmental entities; state-owned companies and institutions.
