Under which circumstances can the person reside: worker, self-employed, student, jobseeker, self-funded person or another recognised basis?

The checked official sources did not provide enough route-specific evidence to confirm the bases on which the person may reside.

What entry, registration or residence-document formalities remain?

Apply at AIMA stores by prior appointment within 30 days after three months from entry into Portugal (or before the previous card expires if it was issued for less than 5 years). Documents include the EU national's ID, valid passport, proof of dependency where applicable, and a statement of responsibility from the EU national. Processing: three months after the request.
