What exact activity, role or purpose qualifies?

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs grants 'Cooperante' status to foreigners who: (a) are recognised by Peru as experts or volunteers under international treaties or agreements of governmental or non-governmental cooperation to which Peru is party; (b) are members of foreign international technical-cooperation entities and institutions registered in the ENIEX register kept by the Peruvian International Cooperation Agency (APCI); or (c) enter Peru to carry out assistance activities within social assistance, humanitarian aid or natural disasters, after evaluation of documents proving that activity.

What organisation, institution, religious body, charity, teacher or host must support the activity?

The status must be requested by the foreign government, international organisation, foreign technical-cooperation entities and institutions (ENIEX, registered with the Peruvian Agency for International Cooperation, APCI), or an entity of the national disaster-risk management system (SINAGERD), as applicable.

What proves the placement, role, affiliation, experience or cultural/religious/voluntary activity?

Recognition by the Peruvian State under cooperation treaties (as experts or volunteers), membership of an ENIEX registered with APCI, or, for social-assistance/humanitarian/disaster work, prior evaluation of documentation proving performance of that activity.
