What exact activity, role or purpose qualifies?

A company may hire a foreigner who enters temporarily to perform unskilled or occasional work, or as a technician in the cultural, artistic, musical, sporting, professional, educational or scientific field, specifically for a given work or project (Article 39, as amended by Executive Decree No. 547 of 14 May 2013).

What organisation, institution, religious body, charity, teacher or host must support the activity?

The host is the hiring company, which must comply with Article 89 of the Decree-Law and provide its national income-tax and Social Security clearance certificates and a letter of responsibility (from the contracting party) with a notarised copy of its representative's ID.

What proves the placement, role, affiliation, experience or cultural/religious/voluntary activity?

Proof consists of work permit certification, the artist's employment contract, and a note to the Director General of the National Migration Service, at most ten (10) days before the event, specifying place, date and time of the performance.
