Where/how is permission obtained when required, and under what important circumstances can a stay be extended or changed?

Entry approval is granted through the Gaza Ministry of Interior, either via the foreigner's host institution or for foreigners entering without any prior invitation. Companies and institutions operating in Gaza submit requests directly to the MOI General Administration of Residency and Foreigners Affairs when bringing in a foreign visitor. International organisations working in Gaza, visitors to the Gaza government and visitors with no sponsor in Gaza coordinate directly with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which then transfers the requests to the Ministry of Interior to issue the approvals.
