What records are central to proving the lineage or historical connection?
For a Pakistan Origin Card application based on a Pakistani or ex-Pakistani parent or grandparent, NADRA's official services charter identifies an old Pakistani registration document such as a Pakistani passport or MNIC, a parent's identity document, and a foreign passport among the documents used to prove a connection with Pakistan. NADRA's current POC page confirms this parent/grandparent eligibility class. The charter does not specify the full documentary chain from an applicant to a grandparent or which combination NADRA will accept for an individual application.

Limits of the record- The current POC page refers detailed requirements to the Registration Policy. The official services charter provides document examples but does not identify the birth or family records needed to connect the applicant through a parent to a Pakistani grandparent, nor a complete mandatory checklist. The linked Registration Policy download redirected or returned access denied on 2026-09-24; this limitation is not evidence that those records are unnecessary.
