Can the person receive salary, pocket money, accommodation, meals or reimbursement? Can they undertake other work?

The holder can take part in the entertainment event they came for and work remotely for an employer or client based outside New Zealand, but cannot do any other work; a musician receiving 'gain or reward' (such as payment, board and lodgings, or transport) for a gig not organised by an INZ-approved promoter needs a work visa instead. The official source does not state whether performers in an approved-promoter act may receive a fee, pocket money, accommodation, meals or reimbursement.

How long can they stay, can they change host/activity, can family accompany, and can the status be extended?

The stay is as needed for the event and the holder must leave before the visa expires; a partner and dependent children aged 19 and younger may be included; anyone not taking part in an act organised by an INZ-approved promoter must apply for a work visa instead. The official source does not state whether the visa can be extended or the host changed.
