What exact status does accumulated residence lead to?

A permanent residence permit, issued to a non-citizen who satisfies the criteria in Part IV of the First Schedule to the Economic Development Board Act 2017.

Time spent as holder of an occupation permit as professional, or of a valid work permit issued under the Non-Citizens (Employment Restriction) Act, counts. The official source does not state whether other residence types count fully, partially or not at all.

What other major conditions apply, how is the status obtained, and what renewal, document-validity, retention or loss rules matter?

Besides the qualifying period, a monthly basic salary of at least 400,000 rupees for a consecutive period of 5 years immediately preceding the application. Application is made to the Minister; the permit is issued on payment of the prescribed fee and on conditions, and is valid for 20 years from issue. The official source does not state renewal, retention or loss rules.
