Sequence: apply online for a Mauritian Diaspora Certificate (at any time before returning to Mauritius, or not more than 180 days from starting first employment or registering first business in Mauritius), then apply for the Permanent Residence Permit (the guideline says to the Prime Minister's Office). Limits of the record
  • The guideline (August 2024) also lists up to 3 wholly dependent next of kin of an unmarried holder; the Immigration Act s.11(1)(b), as replaced w.e.f. 1 December 2025, lists only spouse and dependent child.
  • The guideline names the Prime Minister's Office; the Act says the application is made to the Minister.
  • Renewal of the 10-year permit and any citizenship direction are not stated in the sources read.

These are the answers currently recorded in the catalogue. A missing or partial answer is not an eligibility decision.
