The entry visa allows the holder to be in Mali for 90 days from its date of issue and can be renewed once. It must be used for entry within 3 months if issued by a Malian embassy or consulate, or within 1 month if issued by the immigration services.

At the border a non-immigrant must show a valid passport or equivalent travel document, a return or onward ticket, and the required international vaccination certificates. A traveller without a return or onward ticket must pay a repatriation deposit or hold a document guaranteeing repatriation.
