Parents must prove to the Public Security Police Force or any checkpoint, within 90 days after the birth, that a passport or travel document has been obtained for the child (free; same-day processing); the period can be renewed or extended with reasons, and the obligation lapses if the baby has legally left Macao before the deadline. If parents fail through their fault, their Authorization to Stay is revoked and they may not apply for Residence Authorization or Special Authorization to Stay for two years. The official source does not state any status or rights granted to the child.
