For the relevant traveller scope, is a visa, electronic authorisation, visa on arrival or no advance visa normally required?
For persons not exempted from a visa or Prior Authorization to Enter who do not wish to apply for visa-upon-arrival: a legal agent may apply to the Residence and Stay Affairs Department before arrival if no Chinese diplomatic mission is located at their place of residence. From 29 January 2019, Nepalese, Pakistanis, Nigerians, Bangladeshis, Sri Lankans and Vietnamese may use it only if they are in Mainland China or have no Chinese mission at their place of residence, or have a spouse or specified relatives working or living in Macao.
