What investment option or options qualify?

Ownership of real estate: in Riga, Jurmala or the listed municipalities, one functionally connected property (not vacant land) worth at least EUR 250,000; outside those territories, no more than two such properties with a total value of at least EUR 250,000.

What official minimum amount, tier or threshold applies to each relevant option?

Investment: cadastral value at purchase of at least EUR 80,000 (or at least EUR 40,000 per property if two properties are bought outside the listed areas); if the cadastral value is lower, the certified market value must be at least EUR 250,000 in total, or at least EUR 125,000 per property for two properties. Government payment (separate from the investment): 5% of the real-estate purchase value into the state budget upon receiving the first temporary residence permit.

Which family members can be included where officially stated, and what broad residence/work rights result?

    If you are accompanied by your spouse and a minor childe or a child in your custody, they must submit additional documents confirming kinship, as well as a consent to stay in the Republic of Latvia issued by the parent that does not accompany the child during the travel. The abovementioned consent must have a notary’s certification or it must be signed in the presence of an official of the Office or representation.
