What medical treatment/purpose does the route cover and which applicant role does it address: patient, donor or another medical purpose?

The route covers patients: persons travelling to Kazakhstan for treatment, medical examination or consultations, and persons already staying in Kazakhstan who need treatment; accompanying persons are included in both cases.

What acceptance, appointment, referral, treatment plan or healthcare-provider documentation is important?

For persons travelling to Kazakhstan for treatment, medical examination or consultations (and accompanying persons) and persons travelling to care for close relatives undergoing treatment, the C12 visa is issued by Kazakh foreign institutions and the MIA on the basis of an invitation. For persons already staying in Kazakhstan who need treatment (or need to care for close relatives undergoing treatment), the MIA issues it on the basis of documents from a medical organisation located in Kazakhstan confirming the need for treatment and ongoing care (or constant care for close relatives), or an MIA instruction. A single-entry electronic visa is issued through the Higher Medical Care Center on the basis of an invitation.
