Salvo diversa disposizione di legge o di regolamento, il nullaosta al lavoro non può essere concesso per un periodo superiore a quello del rapporto di lavoro a tempo determinato e, comunque, a due anni; la proroga oltre il predetto limite biennale, se prevista, non può superare lo stesso termine di due anni. Per i rapporti di lavoro a tempo indeterminato di cui ai commi 6 e 21 il nullaosta al lavoro viene concesso a tempo indeterminato. La validità del nullaosta deve essere espressamente indicata nel provvedimento.
