This route is for liberal professionals (self-employed) in non-regulated professions included in lists kept by the Public Administration; the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy publishes the list of associations of non-regulated professions, which have no orders, registers or colleges.

What investment, capital, income, revenue, funding or viability evidence is central to this pathway?

Adequate financial means must be shown (and the activity must not be reserved by law to Italian or EU citizens). For the self-employment visa the applicant must also show, besides suitable housing, an annual income from lawful sources above the legal minimum for exemption from healthcare cost-sharing (currently about EUR 8.400); this income cannot be demonstrated through a bank guarantee or surety policy.
