How long must the investment be maintained and what continuing ownership, investment or physical-presence conditions are important?

The investment or donation must be executed within three months of entering Italy and the original investment maintained for the entire validity of the permit; otherwise the permit may be revoked and cannot be renewed. Obligations on continuity of presence in Italy do not apply after the permit is obtained. Government bonds must have a minimum residual maturity of no less than two years.

Which family members can be included where officially stated, and what broad residence/work rights result?

The checked official sources did not provide enough route-specific evidence to confirm which family members can be included and their rights.

What status is obtained, how is it renewed, what longer-term residence/citizenship direction is officially stated, and what happens to the investment when relevant?

The status is a 2-year investor residence permit. If the investment or donation is maintained throughout the 2 years, a 3-year renewal can be requested at least 60 days before expiry, with a new Nulla Osta from the IV4I Committee. Maintaining the original investment or donation for 5 years allows a request for a long-term residence card. The official source does not state a citizenship direction or what happens to the investment after the long-term card.
