  • The current programme page identifies a PIBA-issued B/2 stay permit and a programme intended to facilitate entry, stay and work authorisation, but it does not specify which paid activities the holder may perform, any wage restriction, or family rights. The old 2016 experimental procedure is not proof of these rights under the current programme.

What approval/application sequence applies, how long is the status granted, how is it renewed, and what longer-term residence direction is officially stated?

The foreign technology entrepreneur first applies to the Israel Innovation Authority with an approved supporting framework. A professional examiner reviews the application and its opinion goes to the Authority CEO; a favourable recommendation is then used to apply to the Population and Immigration Authority, which alone decides the B/2 Innovation Visa. The application to PIBA is for the proposed venture within the approved framework, up to two years.
