What maximum stay, rolling-period rule, validity and entry rules apply?

The visa allows a stay of up to 90 days to attend a training course. Multiple-entry visas are approved only in limited circumstances.

What important funds, accommodation, invitation, insurance, onward-travel or passport evidence may be required?

The evidence includes a letter on headed paper from the employer or sponsoring organisation, a signed and dated "letter of invitation" from the training company, and travel or medical insurance before travel.

Where/how is permission obtained when required, and under what important circumstances can a stay be extended or changed?

Applications are made from the home country or country of legal residence, about 3 months before travel. An extension is possible only if circumstances change unexpectedly after arrival, and the application must be made from inside Ireland before expiry.
