What maximum stay, rolling-period rule, validity and entry rules apply?

The landing stamp sets the permitted stay, up to a maximum of 90 days. Any work under the visa must start and end within a single 14-day period, and the person cannot work more than once during the 90-day period. Multiple-entry visas are approved in limited circumstances only.

What important funds, accommodation, invitation, insurance, onward-travel or passport evidence may be required?

Where/how is permission obtained when required, and under what important circumstances can a stay be extended or changed?

Applications are made online via AVATS, selecting 'Short Stay (C)' and reason 'Business', from the home country or a country of legal residence. Work that does not start and end within a single 14-day period requires permission through the Atypical Working Scheme and then a short stay employment visa. An extension is possible only in exceptional, unexpected circumstances after arrival, not to attend a meeting/event, and must be requested in Ireland before the permission expires.
