How long must the investment be maintained and what continuing ownership, investment or physical-presence conditions are important?

Investment held for at least 3 years (REIT shares: up to 50% may be sold after 3 years, a further 25% after 4, no restriction after 5); physical residence is not required, but investor and family must visit Ireland at least once per calendar year; the investor must not become a financial burden on the State.

Which family members can be included where officially stated, and what broad residence/work rights result?

Spouse/partner and children under 18 (and in some cases unmarried, financially dependent children aged 18–24) get residence on similar terms under Stamp 4, which allows them to work, study or start a business.

What status is obtained, how is it renewed, what longer-term residence/citizenship direction is officially stated, and what happens to the investment when relevant?

Stamp 4 residence for 2 years, renewed for 3 years, then 5-year renewals; after the required period the investment is deemed complete for immigration purposes. No preferential naturalisation — normal rules require physical residence. Closure does not affect approved investors’ renewals.
