The work must accord with the activities of the host religious community.

The applicant must be at least eighteen.
- Approved Host Required
The religious activity must be on behalf of the Church of Iceland or another registered religious organisation.

The organisation must support the applicant or the applicant must show independent support without salaried Icelandic work.
