What investment option or options qualify?

Dependants may be admitted with the entrant under the New CIES and may apply for extension of stay within 3 months before their limit of stay expires. The applicant must show the Director of Immigration that he or she can support and accommodate himself or herself and any dependants without relying on any return on the permissible investment assets, employment, self-employment, office, business or public assistance in Hong Kong.
