    **56D.** The requirements to be met by a person seeking leave to enter the Bailiwick of Guernsey as a visitor for marriage are that he – [(i) meets the requirements of paragraph 41, and] (ii) can show that he intends to marry, in the Bailiwick of Guernsey within the period for which entry is sought, and (iii) can produce satisfactory evidence, if required to do so, of the arrangements for his wedding ceremony to take place, in the Bailiwick of Guernsey during the period for which entry is sought, and (iv) holds a valid entry clearance for entry in this capacity.

A visitor for marriage may be admitted for a period not exceeding 6 months and must intend to marry in the Bailiwick within the period for which entry is sought. The official source does not state a rolling-period rule or the validity of the entry clearance.

What important funds, accommodation, invitation, insurance, onward-travel or passport evidence may be required?

No amount is fixed: the applicant must maintain and accommodate himself or herself and any dependants adequately out of available resources without recourse to public funds or taking employment, or be adequately maintained and accommodated, with any dependants, by relatives or friends, and must be able to meet the cost of the return or onward journey. The applicant must also produce satisfactory evidence, if required, of the arrangements for the wedding ceremony in the Bailiwick, and must hold a valid entry clearance for this capacity.
