What status is obtained, how is it renewed, what longer-term residence/citizenship direction is officially stated, and what happens to the investment when relevant?

The status is a 'B1 – residence permit for investment activity' (holder's professional capacity noted), initially valid for 5 years and renewable for equal periods; it is revoked or not renewed if the conditions are no longer met. The official source does not state a longer-term residence or citizenship direction.
