A temporary residence permit for jobseekers for foreigners who have finished their research activities in Germany as part of a stay under section 18d or 18f of the Residence Act, so that they can look for a job in line with their qualifications once the research position has ended.

Once your research position has ended, you have up to 18 months to find another position in Germany that is in line with your qualifications.

You must then apply for a residence permit for jobseekers in accordance with Section 20 (1) no. 2 of the Residence Act (AufenthG) at your nearest foreigners authority.
