What organisation, institution, religious body, charity, teacher or host must support the activity?

Subtype CULTURAL, employed artist or performer for more than 90 days. The applicant needs an employer offering qualifying employed artistic work in Germany with a concrete job offer for the employment residence title. The official artist guidance directs the worker to apply for a work visa through the German mission abroad, which sends the case to the Federal Employment Agency for approval. The employment regulation permits approval after a labour-market test for an artist/performer or support staff required for the performance. Independent artistic freelance work is a separate self-employment route; the captured employed-artist route does not require a specifically named type of cultural institution.

    You want to be employed as an artist If you intend to work as an employee in the cultural and entertainment sector for more than 90 days , the procedure is as follows: You apply for a (work) visa at the German mission abroad ; The competent German diplomatic mission will then send a request to the Federal Employment Agency (BA) for approval.
